Sessions Description: Join our educational course of world-renowned faculty experts. These highly practical sessions will address eligibility and disqualification criteria for trained competitive athletes with heart abnormalities based on the updated 2015 AHA/ACC Scientific Statement. These will include the impact of sports participation on arrhythmic risk, new conditions associated with sudden cardiac death, new data supporting liberalization of restrictions (long QT syndrome, pacemakers and ICDs), and the fact that increasing numbers of athletes with treated congenital heart lesions and cardiomyopathies compete. Data will be presented by well-known experts
Target Audience: This course is designed to meet the educational needs of sport physicians, general practitioners and family physicians, military physicians and internists and certainly specialists in cardiac arrhythmias. |
